Clear things up a bit?

#1

I have no knowledge of source coding, or coding in general. I stumbled upon Sublime 2 and thought it’d be an easy thing to find support on. But everything is a bit over my head. Can anyone offer a good starting point for a newb?

If you’re new to programming, then Sublime Text probably not the place to start. Sublime Text is simply a text editor (like Notepad), and nothing more.

You probably want something more in the direction of a IDE. Try GameMaker for game development (kinda fun thing to start with), or DreamWeaver if you want to do web, or you can toy around with wix.com . Those two are quite beginner friendly
