★ Official Bug Report and Issue Tracking

Re: ★ Unofficial bug track

Can I suggest that the forum is buggy? It shouldn't be crashing, and it shouldn't be down for a few days each time it does go down.

Jon knows about this already, no need to create an issue for that (since it's not about ST itself anyway).

Well.. This somewhat worked. There's 183 bugs open, a nice list : https://github.com/SublimeText/Issues/issues
User FichteFoll has tagged/confirmed/categorized most of them, Thanks a lot! :)

As you may noticed, most of the new threads in the forums(but not all) are just duplicates of already asked/reported problems. It would be nice if you can log any bug you find here: https://github.com/SublimeText/Issues/issues

Some bugs can be easily fixed if the Package/ Folder were Open Sourced...

I think they should be open sourced under the SublimeText org.

Using PackageResourceViewer we could decompile them and upload them?

Here there is a thread, that cause data loss to those that may misinterpret how sublime works, it can also happen accidentally if you have open many files, happened to me numerous time. I think it should be considered a priority:

In this other thread, https://github.com/SublimeText/Issues/issues/287

We are discussing that some ST features looks "unfinished", with bugs, or not working properly at all. The issue raised, to give some examples think of, match brackets, preview tabs, autoscroll, etc, etc. Is..

It would be nice, if this editor stop adding features. And instead gives APIs to the community so we can work into strong implementations of the desired features by people motivated to add these... Instead of having to write workaround for things that behave incorrectly[1], and dealing with people that notice these thing, after using the editor for a while. It would solve lots of unnecessary headaches, and in general the experience with the editor would be much better, because thing will just work, and if something does not work, everyone would be able to add their two cents to contribute with these.

[1] if it is possible at all, because of its closed nature.. there are some situations we can't do nothing.

A constructive, comment.

By the way, I'll be sending an email soonish to the support regarding this issue tracker that we're keeping. Hopefully kari will forward it to Jon (if he hasn't looked at it yet) and we might get a response on our efforts.

Actually, I didn't intend to do it "this soon", but I just sent the mail. I'll be away over the weekend but you'll hear from me eventually when I get an answer.
