Find stops at end of file

Postby sikr on Wed Jun 25, 2014 10:46 am

Hi guys,

when I use the find functionality (CTRL+f) it always stops at the end of file, telling me in the status bar "n of n matches. Unable to find <seachterm>". I'd like ST to look for further occurences starting at the beginning of the file in this case. I've searched a while around but seemed to be the only one who has a problem with this limitation. Is there any setting regarding this?

To make it clear, here's a detailed example:

1: foo
2: bar
3: foo
4: bar
5: foo
6: bar

Let's say the cursor is in line 4. I hit CTRL+F and enter "foo". The occurance in line 5 is found. Now I hit F3. ST tells me that it is unable to find "foo", even though there're two further occurences in line 1 and 3.

Hi koink,

thanks a lot for your reply. It was neither the "whole word" button nor the "reverse" button. It was just the "wrap" button. I guess I switched it off by mistake and was now wondering about the unwanted behaviour.

Cheers!
