Command palette entries on sidebar?

Command palette entries on sidebar?

Postby ErdeFB on Wed Jul 09, 2014 10:28 am

Hello!

I would like to know if I can somehow "stick" Command Palette entries to the Sidebar to act as a quick way to access some stuff I'd rather not write out every time, like for package installing, etc.

Yes yes, keyboard shortcuts are nice and all and yes writing the words, for an example, package and install does not take that long, but trust me, I can do it faster with mouse click than writing (high DPI gaming mouse and years of FPS experience does that I guess).

Thanks!

Edit: I wasn't sure if I should post this here or in Technical Support, so I hope I got it rightish.

Unfortunately right now there is no way to change the sidebar behavior. The sidebar only shows open files and folders and there is not API to create custom entries.

Thank you for your reply.

This is unfortunate. Hopefully there will be less restrictions for UI modifications in the future, but that might be rather hard to implement for cross-platform applications I guess.
