How to specify an alternate font for italics?

#1

My favorite font to use for scripting is Lucida Console. Unfortunately, it doesnt have an italics font that Sublime Text 3 can use.

I was hoping someone could please show me a way to specify a different font (that has italics and similar to Lucida Console) when italics is needed.

Thanks,

Specify different font for italics

there is no such setting, but you could simply create ‘Lucida Console italic’ from ‘Lucida Typewriter EF Oblique’ eg via fontforge.

It’s not quite exactly like Lucida Console, but check out Liberation Mono or the very closely related font Cousine. Both have italic, bold, and bold italic fonts, and (IMO) look great in Windows, OS X, and Linux.
