Is there a go back feature?

#1

if I use the Goto feature Goto…goto anything / ctrl+p
and I go to some other open text file

then I want to go back to where I was but perhaps I don’t recall where it was… I want a quick way to go back…

Is there any way?

Is there any history of opened files that have been active, in the order that they were?

Hello, try: Alt -
(Alt and Minus)

It will go back to previous cursor positions (even across tabs & closed files).

Ctrl+Shift+T/CMD+Shift+T will re-open the last file too.

Well that’s handy. Ctrl-minus for Mac users.

I have muscle-memoried cmd-z’ing from the old TextMate days, which used to work because TM had a (maddening) character-by-character buffer. But this method doesn’t always work in ST3 to jump back to where I was previously editing. Thanks for pointing this out! Surprised I hadn’t found it in all this time.

CMD+U is an soft-undo feature too.
