Meaning of 'contrib' in linter package

#1

I’m trying to use sublimelinter in ST3.

‘sublimeLinter-jshint’ vs ‘sublimeLinter-contrib-jslint’
which one is javascript linter for ST3? either one is fine?

and ‘sublimeLinter-contrib-htmlhint’ is html lint for ST3?

Likely that it’s contributed by someone?

Yes, either one is fine.

“contib” means it’s not supported and maintained by the SublimeLinter developer(s).
