Looks like it is already created for you:

Unfortunately I don’t like the blue background :frowning:
And the red text.

I’ve tried the TextMate-colorscheme suggested in this thread, but I don’t like it either.

For a few more color schemes, check out http://wiki.macromates.com/Themes/UserSubmittedThemes. There are pictures of what to expect so you should be able to find something that fits your tastes. I found that some look great in the picture but don’t look so great in practice, so you just have to try a few out.

My favorites are “Sunburst”, “IR_Black”, “Black Pearl II” and “GlitterBomb” but pretty much all of them required a bit of tweaking so that I liked them (mostly to the “line highlight” or “background” colors). The tmTheme files are easy to edit but I found you have to restart Sublime Text to see the changes.

There are also some more themes at https://github.com/karlbright/TextMate-Themes and https://github.com/filmgirl/TextMate-Themes.

I’d like to know who created the Solarized scheme used in Sublime Text. I can see that it is based on the TextMate version, but with slight changes.

The point is, there are some colors used which are not specified in Solarized from Ethan Schoonover. In the TextMate version there is just one additional color (don’t know why it is used): #D30102. In the SublimeText version (Solarized Light) there are many more:

  • #219186

  • #269186

  • #469186

  • #536871

  • #5A74CF

  • #708284

  • #738A05

  • #738A13

  • #748B00

  • #819090

  • #899090

  • #A57705

  • #A57800

  • #B81D1C

  • #BB3700

  • #BD3613

  • #BD3800

  • #BF3904

  • #C60000

  • #CD1E1D

  • #D01F1E

  • #D31E1E

  • #D3201F

  • #E0EDDD

  • #EAE3C9 used for invisibles (#93A1A180 in TextMate version)

Can somebody explain why there are that many extra colors, how they were selected and how they can match with the Solarized original color palette? Thanks.
