OK, I did some more research on the TextMate theme format and figured out how to do what you requested, as can be seen in the attached screen shot:
In this example, the cursor was in the middle of the ‘class’ keyword in a Python file, so the ‘Types’ entry in the theme editor is selected. If I click somewhere else in my ST2 file, a different theme editor entry will be highlighted. Defintely a very useful feature…thanks for the suggestion!
