How to install a package on Linux?

Postby jeffself on Thu Oct 20, 2011 1:38 pm

Been testing Sublime Text 2 on my Mac and I'm loving it. Now I'm testing on Ubuntu 11.10 and I'm running into an issue with installing some packages. I installed the fabulous Sublime Package Control and was able to install some packages from it. But there are some other plugins I want to install but I don't know where they go. Sublime on Linux has a completely different file layout than on OS X. I created a Packages directory under the Sublime Text 2 folder and installed the CoffeeScript plugin there, but Sublime doesn't see it. Is there a setting or configuration I need to modify? I can't seem to find anything.

Wouldn't you know it. As soon as I post this, I discover that Sublime Text 2 settings are in ~/.config/sublime-text-2.
