Is there a way to navigate through the autocomplete popup’s entries with the TAB key instead of the arrow keys?

TAB to navigate through them + ENTER to confirm the right one would be good I think…

I’m searching for the optimal way to use this feature…

If you set "auto_complete_commit_on_tab": false (this is the default setting) you will be able to press tab to cycle through the autocomplete options, however this will close the autocomplete popup so it’s not exactly the same as what you’re requesting.

However, by default, you can press ctrl+space to move through the options in the autocomplete popup. You could remap this to the tab key which will allow you to do what you’re asking but it would also render your tab key useless for inserting tabs (I’m sure there’s a way to fix this, if nothing else you could write your own function). Using ctrl+space seems to be the easiest solution for what you’re asking…
