My general preferences are to have \t tab characters for indentation at 4 columns wide.

HOWEVER; for SQL (and bashy) files I prefer to use double-spacing as I may be pasting them directly into a console somewhere; tab-characters + console = annoying.

So then, is it possible to have per-syntax overrides for such things?
