Working with remote file is frustrating

#1

When working with sftp files in Sublime I can’t see what their path is, I just see the temporary path the sftp file lives in instead of the remote server path. If you have to remote files with the same name then you get some kind of hash appended to the file names but that isn’t any help for figuring out which directory they are from.

Right now it seems like Sublime Text 2 is more suited for local development and anyone doing remote editing is out of luck.

If anyone has found a good solution to this please share. I’m working on a mac using Transmit to navigate/open remote files.

I have tried things like mounting the remote server as a drive but to me its a bad solution. When doing that you don’t know if your files saved or not because the mounted drive can’t read the server’s file permissions at all.
