Working in a very long document where I have to jump back and forth between different functions constantly… I wonder is there a way i can mark specific lines so i can find them easily?

If not this would make a great feature/plugin! (if there isn’t one already)

I know I can open the same document multiple times, but i find this hard to manage (also… is there a simple way to duplicate a document to another pane?)

Check out Goto > Bookmark. “Toggle” adds and removes bookmarks; next and previous traverse. Note that bookmarks bookmark selections and not lines; thus you will jump to whatever selection you had at the time you bookmarked.

I don’t know of an answer to your last question. I think you just have to clone and then move the view to another pane.
