I’m not sure this is even how it works, but I’m assuming that Sublime Text 2 is rendering some sort of image that it uses internally for the “Mini Map” feature… and I’d sure like to be able to extract that image if possible. Does anyone know if this is how it works, and whether it could be done?
(I’ve simply taken screenshots of it, but when it exceeds the height of my screen it’s not very accurate – and to take multiple screenshots and splice together is just more work that it’s worth. 
)
[EDIT] I’m becoming increasingly convinced that this won’t be possible. Especially as I notice that when I highlight/select text in the main view, it also highlights in the mini map – which means it’s really not an image under the hood, but some form of actually rendered text. Ah well.
