I have an existing version of Sublime Text and I was wondering if there is a way to just update this version so that it is current or do I have to un-install the old version and re-install the new version.

edit: My operating system is Linux on Ubuntu 12.04. In case I have not understood the question I also ran ‘uname -m’ from my console and the return was ‘i686’ … thanks again.

You’ll be fine if you just extract the new version over the top of the old version
