Plugin compatibility on Windows 8

Since I made an upgrade on Windows 8 I have compatibility issue with some plugins.
Especially PHP Syntax Checker and SideBarEnhancements, they seem to be not working at all.
I tried them on two PCs with Windows 8 and they didn't work on niether.
Any idea why it happens and how to fix it?
