Build pane theme - ST2 2217

Hello,
My question is about the build pane in sublime text 2. Is it possible the change the theme (black background for example) for the pane ?
I tried this method http://www.sublimetext.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=4583 which did not work for me.
Is there something I am missing, like clearing a cache or something ?
