After doing an incremental search, and finding the place where you want to edit, if you hit escape the cursor jumps to where it was when the search was first started, even if you click into the window and perform editing tasks.

Expected behavior, cursor remains where it was placed by the server.

Ideally i would expect the cursor to remain at the beginning of the most recent matched text (what is currently highlighted), but I would settle for it remaining where I last positioned it.

This is by design. Press enter from the incremental search panel if you want the selection to remain where it is, or use the find panel instead.

Being able to hit enter to get out of it is better than nothing, i can live with that (and get used to it, i suppose).

I’d really like to see Sublime’s incremental search work identically to Emacs though (ctrl+s in emacs). Or at least have the options of making it work like it.
