Sublime stalls when coming out of suspension mode

#1

I’ve experienced this quite a few times in the past weeks.

I bring Windows out of suspension mode and Sublime’s window will become a short of ghost… It reacts to the right mouse button or double-clicks, but not to any keyboard input. The window itself becomes sluggish when I try to resize it and it won’t minimize other windows if you shake it a little bit either as it should under Win7.

Are you using Direct3D or OpenGL?

Direct3D. Didn’t the default change to OpenGL in one of the betas some time ago? I thought so…

I was planning on changing the default to OpenGL, but I don’t think I will at this stage - it doesn’t work 100% for everyone, so I’m not sure if it’d be a net gain or loss in doing so. Most of the reported issues with a blank screen after wakeup occur on XP systems, with Vista and Windows 7 being better behaved. If enough people on Vista or higher are having issues, I’ll look into creating a D3D10 renderer as an option - it handles things like suspend resume in a much more graceful, OpenGL like, manner.

The only real option for the moment is to give OpenGL mode a try.
