I was wondering if I am the only person experiencing this. I am running LinutMint 11 32-bit on an IBM T60 laptop.

Immediately after testing SublimeText2, I decided it would be my new code editor (due to its ridiculously fast speed on my old, reliable IBM laptop). However, after I started using it more often, I began to get “hard shutdowns”. As in, without warning, the computer is just instantly off. The shutdowns appear to be random, but I could try some more testing to see if there isn’t some pattern.

Now that I have gone back to Eclipse, I no longer experience the random shutdowns, but I so miss the speed and ease of SublimeText2.

Any ideas on how a code editor could cause a hard shutdown in Linux?
