Sorry this is a newbie question from a former Jedit user. I need to make a latex table, eg.

1 2 3
4 5 6
7 8 9

I need to put & in between the numbers

1 & 2 & 3
4 & 5 & 6
7 & 8 & 9

I thought I would type in & between the first and second column, and then copy and paste.
I marked the column of & using vertical select, but could not figure out how to paste.
Is this a of multiple cursor? If so how? Or is there some better way to do this?

You can multi select the three rows. Take a look at column_selection

E.g. first select behind 1 4 and 7, insert a space the & and another space, move one to the right and repeat.
