So, I’m working in a massive C project for a client - ~70,000 files, ~10,000 directories, 10Gb total, the source is mostly C but that total contains loads of other stuff that’s perhaps interesting including C++, ARM asm, makefiles, html docs, Perl/Python scripts, bespoke test scripts, and various junk that shouldn’t be there. I’ll stress I didn’t make the mess, I’m just paid to clean up bits of it. Just bought ST3 as I was falling in love with ST2 but was bumping up against its limits in this project.
So, first things first - while I type ST3 is munching its way through indexing this monster - but there’s no ‘please be patient’ message in the terminal like there was in ST2. Of course I don’t expect indexing to be done instantly but a busy indicator of some sort, maybe even a progress bar, would be nice - looking at the drive busy light isn’t so scientific.
Thanks for a great tool, happy to have discovered it.
