Reproducible issue:

1. Open any file over a typical Windows share (the file can be even really tiny). S:\MKANET\dev\textfile.txt
2. If I try to right-click on the open text file (to access menu items “Open Containing Folder…”), ST3 just hangs for a long time; and eventually may not even provide me with a right-click menu.

Notes:
I dont have any issues accessing the same files over the network using Windows Explorer (or any other application that can open/access files over network shares. This issue doesnt seem to happen if the remote server has a very low latency when pinged.

Do you have any package installed that add menuitems to the sidebar menu?
