I’m currently connected to a linux SMB server and use muCommander to browse the server files with a macbook. I can open files in Sublime text but when I go to try and save them it looks like the incorrect file path is being saved. I checked all the usual suspects…I have rw permissions and the files are checked out of source control. I can save successfully when I connect to the server with Finder, however trying to browse the directories is near impossible. Apparently there is some issue Apple refuses to fix where Finder sends a bunch of metadata requests to the SMB server that has no idea what to do with them. As a result the browsing speed is horrific. Kind of a long shot, but has anyone encountered this before? Find a fix or workaround?
