Change new tab title

#1

Hi,

When I open a new tab, the title is by default “untitled”. However if I start typing into this tab, the title changes into the first line of whatever I typed. I would like to force the title of new tabs (not yet saved) to stay as “untitled”. How can this be accomplished? I am using Sublime Text 2.0.2 build 2221 on OSX 10.9.5.

I believe you can change the title after you save as.

Same issue here. More often than not I use Sublime as a scratch pad, and the title/tab name change is somewhat distracting.

Is there an option to pin the unsaved file name to “untitled”? Thanks!

Edit: Currently I always type a newline on the top to prevent it.

You can disable this by setting set_unsaved_view_name to false, although that setting may only be available in S3

Thanks, that worked for me in Sublime Text 2. Are there any other undocumented settings like this? It wasn’t in my default preferences file.
