I’ve just installed 3083 which is supposed to fix CPU issue (which I didn’t have before) and now I can’t keep it open - the laptop coolers go nuts, the system gives me messages that CPU cores are overheating.

Pretty much same thing here on C2D running OSX Lion, two ST processes jump between 75 and 85% CPU. They do go down after a while, propably depending on the size of the current project. So this issue could be related to the file indexing issue, that as OP stated should have been resolved, but neither me has experienced them with the previous version.
Facing the same exact issue and even worse. It hangs a lot and at one point it causes my OS to die with the dreaded screen of death which then asks me to press any key for restart. Here’s the crash dump just in case any techie is looking to fix this soon

I’m having the same issue as well. Makes the computer almost unusable at times. (early 2013 MBPr running 10.10.3)
Update: build 3080 has the issue as well, going back to try 3065 now
I am having the same issue. I tried going back to 3065, and it still occurs. Peaks of 100% CPU that last long enough to crank the fan up to high speed. Upper left area of keyboard gets smoking hot. Sublime is at 100% energy impact for several 10’s of seconds, then drops. This repeats, even without any Sublime usage. Sublime also goes into Not-Responding… Basically unusable.
