Hello there,

I’m working on a block of html file which need to be standalone and starts with an tag. When this happens, none of the code in the file is coloured.

Repeating the exercise with a div, everything works fine.

Anybody knows how to turn the colour code on? I tried to install some packages unsuccessful.

Did you set the syntax of the file? If you load up a file, Sublime will attempt to guess it but if the content or file extension are non-standard (ie. not HTML HTM or PHP) Sublime will revert to “Plain text”. You can see the current syntax in use at the bottom right of the Sublime window.

You can click on there to choose a different syntax or use the command palette (Ctrl+Shift+P) then type SSHTML (the fast way)
