copying and pasting lines

copying and pasting lines

Postby TechnoCat on Fri Aug 12, 2011 1:55 pm

Sublime Text 2 b2091

When I hit ctrl+c ctrl+v on my Windows machine with nothing selected, the entire line is duplicated above the current line.
On Linux, it pastes the line in the middle of the current line wherever the cursor may be at the time.

I really prefer the Windows result, but consistency is what is important here.

Double posting.
I'm on Build 2138 now and I still have this problem with Ubuntu 10.10.
ctrl+shift+d and vintage mode yy shift+p both work as expected though.

This requires storing extra meta-data on the clipboard, which is currently implemented on win32, but not on Linux or OS X.

Not that I'm being very constructive, but this is actually a bit of a gripe of mine with ST2. I used to use this functionality in Komodo quite frequently, and when I use the same shortcuts via muscle-memory, it's always a sad result. :\ I'd love to see this implemented
