Force settings in all files?

Force settings in all files?

Postby chr1831 on Mon Nov 14, 2011 5:22 pm

Hello Sublime community,

I tried adding the following settings to my global user settings, but for some reason it isn't taking affect. Any ideas?
"word_wrap": false,
"tab_size": 2,
"translate_tabs_to_spaces": true

Please check that you've placed these in your user File settings, and not in the Global settings.

Hey, just registered to chime in that I had the exact same problem. I couldn't get word_wrap to stay off by default (having it on seems like a pretty strange default...) and my tabs were all over the place despite our code base being entirely soft tabs 4. I had been trying to put these settings in the global settings. It would be great if that were a little more clear.

Thanks for doing this with the latest update btw! I had already figured out the problem thanks to this thread, but I'm sure this will help going forward.
