Key bindings and tab triggers for latex

#1

Hi,

Working on a mac with LaTeX, I would like to add certain key bindings and tab triggers. I checked the docu, but did find a right approach.

What would be the right way, e.g. to add the key binding “cmd + i” to create \emph{}. Then either the caret is between the curly brackets or the selected text is taken and placed between the curly brackets.

Thanks for any advice.

I implemented this over the week-end. Check the new documentation: on Mac, it’s bound to Shift+Option+w,e (that is, first you press Shift+Option+w, then you press e). Bold, underline, and wrapping in an arbitrary command works similarly: again, check the docs.

For some reason, it does not work in my case.

Opened a new file and saved it as tex file. Typed “test” and selected it. Pressed shift+alt+w, released shift and alt and pressed e. Nothing happens and the text its still selected.

Any ideas?

Uhm… did you update to the latest version of the plugin? I just tried again on my iMac at work, and it works…

Works fine now.

I modified the files as I need. But updating the LaTeXtools plugin would overwrite the changes I made.

How should I do my changes and preserve it when updating

Thx
