New files & folders do not appear in sidebar

New files & folders do not appear in sidebar

Postby DEfusion on Sun Jan 15, 2012 7:44 pm

Sublime Text 2 Beta Build 2165

When creating a new folder or file it no longer updates the folders sidebar to show the new file. It can't be re-opened using goto anything either. This means I have to continuously close & re-open a project when adding new files.

Please be more specific:
What OS are you on? What kind of files?

I am using Windows 7 x32 and x64 and it works for me.

I'm having this issue too, but am also unable to rename or delete files using the sidebar.

Have tried both the latest beta (2165) and dev releases (2164) and I'm using OS X 10.6.8, it happens with all file types.

OS X 10.6.8

It fails with any types of files or folder under the following conditions, opened up a folder via a symbolic link. However open up the folder that the sym link is then it works fine.

the same problem. win 7 home basic, sublime text 2 build 21.65.

new files and folder are not visible(created them by win explorer), project->"refresh folders" not working, reopen project also no result. but if i press "find in folder" it finds what i need...

Files and folders not showing after addition and renaming doesn't show until I refresh folders.

Running OS X Lion and using Build 2165 (same happened in 2168).

Just wanted to report that the auto-refresh actually works for some projects, and not for others. I'm trying to determine the difference between the directories and can't seem to figure it out. I'll keep everyone posted.

Also, it used to work (prior to 2165) for ALL my projects, but now I'm in my current situation where it only works for some.

Hi there,

This happens to me as well.

If I add files or folders to the project directory from the command line (say from git pull, or touch file.txt) the sidebar in Sublime Text 2 does not refresh with the new files.

This worked in the previous version just fine, but since upgrading to the new build (2181), the one with the fancy new icon, it has stopped working.

I'm running OS X Lion 10.7.3

Is there anyway to downgrade the version I'm using because in this current state I can not work efficiently, I'm finding myself going back to old habits and using the bloated and slow Eclipse IDE...

It's a shame because I really love Sublime Text 2, I bought a license even though it seemed to let me work without one, I was voting with my wallet that this is an App I want to support.

Many thanks for any help people can provide, and let me know if there's any more info I can provide to help nail down the issue to a specific component.

I have fixed this issue by removing the Kronuz Code Intel Plugin
