Yes I can do the typings, my fingers are fine.

But I simply cannot read or type chinese characters using Sublime Text 2 under Linux

Hope this issue is “serious enough” :’(

If you can’t type anything, maybe you have vintage enabled.
Just try to type i or a to enter into insert mode.

If you can’t see chars, may be a font issue.
I recently changed a chinese (simplified) file and everything was just peachy. On Windows and OSX.
