It seems that any character in the word_separators list is ignored for auto complete, is this intended and are there any clever way of getting around this?

It seems to me that word separators prevent auto complete unless a custom completions file is over-riding it. I’m currently having a related problem with the package “all autocomplete”, which is able to show me SCSS variables (which start with $) in other files in the active window, but when I attempt to select the suggestion / completion - no text is inserted into the file. In order to get the variables to even show up in the completions list, however - I do have to remove the $ from the word separators list.
