Second window strange behavior in 2181

Second window strange behavior in 2181

Postby mpedrummer on Thu Mar 08, 2012 9:56 pm

Start by dragging an open tab downwards, and releasing. This creates a second ST2 window.

Now try to use the Goto Anything Pane. The only thing it can find is files open in that second window.

Additionally, my builder doesn't work when triggered from the secondary window. It gives the Errno 2, No such file or directory. Building from the same file in the primary window works as expected.

While we're on the subject, it would be nice if emptied out "extra" windows would just go away - I always wind up with a few orphans :)

Thanks

Now using 2190, things are still weird, and sorta worse.

I opened a second window, then closed the initial one. When I then shut the second window, subsequent restarts had lost the project. Since I hadn't explicitly saved it...poof. Boo :(

It seems like perhaps the whole problem is that secondary windows can't access the project in the first? And then when I closed it, it saved THAT as the 'in process' project, which didn't have any reference to the unsaved one?

Dunno. But a bummer.
