Drag Commands? Only Python for Commands?

Drag Commands? Only Python for Commands?

Postby 11&2 on Fri Mar 09, 2012 12:49 am

Hi,

1. Could one write Drag Commands like in Textmate?
2. Could one only use Python to write Commands? In Textmate you can write commands in more languages like PHP.

Thanks.

Best regards, S

I don't know what drag commands are in Textmate, can you explain?

The Sublime API only allows you to write new commands in Python. That Python code can call command line programs like php.

In Textmate when you drag a file from the desktop or wherever onto an open file you can define a command on how to handle the situation. More:

Code: Select all
That Python code can call command line programs like php.

That would defeat the purpose. So just Python. Are the Docs for the Sublime Python version still missing?
