How to set background transparency?

#1

New user to ST2 (moving from Vim).

I’m looking to set background transparency (gvim setting set transparency=7) in sublime text 2, how would I do this or is then even possible?

Sadly there is no option for achieving that.

Big ‘if’, but if you’re on a Mac I think the free app Afloat can set arbitrary transparency on apps for you. (And always-on-top functionality too.)

I’m guessing you’re not though as you mentioned gvim rather than macvim (although I don’t know enough about vim to know how right I am here).

FYI, if you really want this feature, go vote for it and comment here: sublimetext.userecho.com/topic/5 … eme-level/

That’s the ST2 feedback thing, more votes means it might get done!
