Middle Mouse Button Scroll (Autoscroll)

Middle Mouse Button Scroll (Autoscroll)

Postby leinad on Tue Mar 27, 2012 10:24 am

Hi, I'm new to Sublime, just came across it because of the minimap feature which got implemented in Notepad++.

I really need the middle mouse button to initiate a scroll action, as I use a tablet and not a mouse (this means that I don't have a scrollwheel, but I do have a configurable button on the pen).

Can this feature be implemented via a plug-in, or by the original devs? If no, then I sadly have to move away from this editor.

Kind regards,
Daniel

Kind of old question. But maybe others are interested how to achieve this.

I dont know of a way to do it in sublime text directly.

Workaround:

-Autohotkey http://www.autohotkey.com/
-Use a script called "drag to scroll v2" http://www.autohotkey.com/board/topic/55289-dragtoscroll-universal-drag-flingflick-scrolling/

I use this to be able to scroll any window under windows by holding down middle mouse and drag.

Cheers

Did you ever figure a way to get this working I'm in exactly the same boat, it would be great to be able to middle mouse and scroll. It seems weird to me that this option isn't available since it's become a standard in a lot of programs.
