When a file is open with ST and a different program makes a change to it, ST will catch this and refresh the file. This is great.

What I don’t like is after the refresh, I loose my place in the file. The view is scrolled to the top of the file. This is jarring, and most other editors I use don’t do this – they keep me at the same line number after the refresh. I would strongly prefer to stay at the same line. Is this an option somewhere, otherwise I’d suggest this as a feature change.

I’m using ST build 2190.

Does anyone actually appreciate being transported to the beginning of the file?

I don’t run into this issue all that often but I agree with you that it is jarring. I would also appreciate any suggestions for a fix or workaround.
