OS X - Tab width changes without adjusting settings

OS X - Tab width changes without adjusting settings

Postby jperrine on Mon Apr 09, 2012 4:30 pm

Hey guys,

I have a problem that I've experience across a couple different laptops all running OS X (10.7 && 10.6) where while in a file my set tab width will change from 2 to 4 or 8 seemingly at random, does sublime try to guess tab width at any point and is there a way to turn this off? I have my user preferences set to use a tab size of 2 and to translate all tabs to spaces, but when I switch from one file and back it sometimes will adjust my tab settings and I have to reselect 2 in the menu at the bottom of the window.

Has anyone run into this or know of a fix?

Thanks!

This is indentation detection in action, instructions for disabling it are at http://www.sublimetext.com/docs/2/indentation.html
