Mac OS can't open System Preferences...

Mac OS can't open System Preferences...

Postby suter on Wed Jun 27, 2012 5:48 am

A very weird bug. When in ST2, I can't open System Preferences (Apple / System Preferences...). Nothing happens.

Somehow, ST2 is blocking them from being opened.The workaround is easy... just don't have ST2 in the foreground.

I only really noticed this in the last few builds.

ST build 2210 / Mac OS 10.7.4

Interesting bug, I just tried it and see the same thing. Nothing happens when clicking the system preferences menu item from the apple menu. It works when launching via the dock or Alfred though (possibly because then those apps take the focus).

This is what's shown in the system log when trying to use the menu item:
2012-06-27 08:02:23,702 Sublime Text 2: spawn_via_launchd() failed, errno=5 label=[0x0-0x4494490].com.apple.systempreferences path=/Applications/System Preferences.app/Contents/MacOS/System Preferences flags=0

Nice find. I've been having this issue for several weeks now, but I never tight it to the use of ST2. Hope this gets fixed in the near future.

*bump*

Is there a formal way to file this as a bug? Noticed the bug still exists in 2.0 final.

Nice work jps. Thanks!

Fixed in 2.01 for all those who didn't catch the release notes.
