Temporary files contents lost

#1

I’ve been using, for some time now, this awesome editor and don’t ask me why but I had some files open which I didn’t save to a specific file on my disk.
Apparently, Sublime was that smart to save the contents of a newly created file in some cache (Session.sublime_session if I’m correct) so closing Sublime wouldn’t throw away the contents.
Restarting Sublime, and hey my latest changes are visible. Me happy

Today I had to force close my laptop since Banshee (on Ubuntu Precise) crashed my system and at this point the contents of my temp (non disk saved) files don’t have the contents anymore.
Is it possible to restore it somehow, because I can’t find a solution other then looking into Session.sublime_session

Please let me know

Hello -

I have a similar request but slightly different.

when moving laptops I had a super duper backup of all drive contents.
What files are necessary to grab from an old system to make a new system have all the same content as on the previous machine?

Where do the temporary files get stored?

it seems that a pointer is inside the sublime session document itself as sometimes it is pointing to a cache directory, but not certain if that’s a herring.

thanks in advance.
