I have to restart the application when this happens, and it happens often enough to be irritating. Using ST2 on Ubuntu 12.04 x64 with Unity. Can someone confirm?

This is a known intermittent issue that’s triggered by Ubuntu’s global menus. As a temporary workaround, you can resize the window, which will make things work again.

The fastest workaround I’ve found is to hit F11 twice (to switch to and from fullscreen) and everything is normalized. It’s not ideal, but on the other hand, having Unity gobble up the Sublime menu is the only way to get a menu-less distraction-free mode (Shift+F11) on Linux. (The menu’s actually there, but it only occupies 1px or so. You can get the menus to drop down by hitting, for example, Alt+F.)
