Different theme for different file tabs

Different theme for different file tabs

Postby jasondavis on Wed Jul 04, 2012 8:07 pm

Is it possible to have a different theme set for different file types?

To explain, I use a Dark theme right now but if I am editing for example a Text or Markdown file, I would like to have a White/light theme. I don't think it is possible to have different themes for different tabs but I am not sure?

It is not possible to have different themes for different tabs AFAIK. I believe it would be possible to use the ST-API events on_activated, and on_load, to dynamically attach different themes according to the current file type. Although, I suspect this would impact the overall performance of ST.

Alternatively, a key-binding or command could be created to switch between themes. I believe there might be a Package already available that does something similar.

You can specify an alternate color scheme, using the color_scheme setting, in your syntax specific settings

Thank you :) I was unaware this was possible. Andy.
