I use “View” -> “Hide Menu” to hide the menu bar in Windows 7. But when I new a window, the menu bar appear again in the new window.
Is there a way to save my preference of any changes I made using the “View” main menu? (or at least the “Hide Menu” option)

I have been looking for this too. Tried different guessing different settings but nothing seems to work.
