Hello,

I am running on a Windows machine, and have trouble with Overwrite mode. As much as I hit the Insert key, it doesnt toggle between overwrite and insert modes. Trying with vintage letter R also does nothing. I have searched and for OSX there is the Toggle_overwrite command, but I do not see that command on windows machines.

Wondering if there is something I am doing wrong or that I am missing or if this could be a small bug.

Works fine for me on Windows 7 64-bit.

A couple of things you could check:

• Make sure “insert” is bound to “toggle_overwrite” (it is for me). Search every file that could be overriding the keybinding.
• Try binding another key to “toggle_overwrite” and see what happens. I bound it to “f1” and sure enough F1 worked like INS.
• Try uninstalling packages to see if anyone’s messing with overwrite.
