Hi!

How can I increase the contrast between active tab and the other? It’s hard to determine what tab is active at a glance.

I highly recommend the theme Nil for this exact reason.
It’s in Package Control, so grab it from there, apply it, and make sure this line is in your settings file:

"highlight_modified_tabs": true

EDIT:
To clarify, the highlight_modified_tabs setting won’t make the active tab more visible, but it’s nice to see modified vs unmodified tabs imo.
The theme alone highlights the current tab relatively well.
