SQL dumps insanely slow.

SQL dumps insanely slow.

Postby lhunath on Mon Aug 27, 2012 7:49 am

When opening SQL dumps in Sublime Text, the entire editor slows to a crawl. I suspect long lines are the cause and syntax highlighting, but I can't be sure.

Either way, this makes editing such files impossible.

Even if a fix can be found for SQL's syntax highlighters, shouldn't this be fixed on a larger scale avoiding the problem entirely? Each step in the render/update cycle shouldn't take longer than a few ms, and if certain plugins/code violate that, their activity should be aborted. Or something.

Also, I can't seem to select "None" for syntax highlighting in hopes of working around the issue.

The syntax highlight you are searching for is "Plain text".
