SublimeText scans external drive when I open my $HOME folder

Postby gurjeet on Tue Sep 25, 2012 4:32 am

I have a 1 terabyte external hard disk, and if I have that plugged in (USB), and I open my home folder in SL, then I can see that SL starts scanning my external hard disk and the disk starts spinning vigourously. And when I quit SL, the disk stops spinning. Strangely, it does not scan the external disk if I open any other directory in SL. I have checked a bit and I don't see any symlinks from under my $HOME to the /media/1TB where this disk is mounted.

Any obvious things I should be checking for?

SL version 2.0.1, Linux 64.

Here's relevant output from lsof utility:

$ lsof | grep -i 1TB
sublime_t 8401 gurjeet 16r DIR 8,17 4096 354927 /media/1TB/delete.ubuntuhome20120812/LinuxMint10HiddenFiles/.azureus/dht

$ lsof | grep -i 1TB
sublime_t 8401 gurjeet 16r DIR 8,17 36864 806712 /media/1TB/delete.ubuntuhome20120812/netbeans-7.1.2/java/update_tracking
