In my old editor, I used to rely on a discreet sound for some information, such as passing the eof and wrapping when finding a string, or not finding the requested string. Is it possible to do that natively, or should I use Python?

[EDIT] I tried playing with winsound, but alas:

ImportError: No module named winsound

Any idea how I could make the private Python interpreter recognize/load winsound? (I have the DLL in the standard Python install.)
